Students can access MyRED using their NUID and TrueYou password. Employee access to MyRED will be granted using the same credentials (NUID and password) that employees have already set up to use FireFly/Employee Self Service.
UNL Student Information System (PeopleSoft)
The UNL Student Information System (PeopleSoft) supports the MyRED portal and is used to maintain students' academic records.
Access to student records is protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). To learn more about this federal law, you may visit the U.S. Department of Education's website at http://www.ed.gov/policy/gen/guid/fpco/ferpa/index.html
Faculty and Staff may request access to PeopleSoft with approval from their Academic Dean or Director. Access may also be granted to NuView, WebNow and DARWIN/u.achieve. Each person is required to read and sign the Statement of Understanding on Use of Student Records, the 2nd page of the request form. Click the link below to view and print the form. After completing, forward it to 59 ADMN (0416), or fax it to (402) 472-0736.
Use the form below to identify staff that should be granted access to enter grades online through the Faculty Center.
In addition, see the table to the right to find orientation documents* specific to different functions performed by MyRED and PeopleSoft users.
*Not all documents apply to all users. The availability of functions is determined by a person's role at the university. (Students, Faculty, Staff, etc.)
