May Undergraduate Commencement Information
Congratulations May Bachelor's degree candidates! If you fulfill all academic requirements, your degree will be awarded this semester. Earlier this term you received a graduation check letter from Graduation Services. You must resolve all issues identified in that letter. The Office of the University Registrar will collect early grades for each of your UNL courses to determine your eligibility for graduation. Grade changes for past incomplete grades in courses needed for graduation are due from faculty to Graduation Services no later than April 27, 2015.
Commencement is Saturday, May 9, 2015, 9:30 a.m. at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. Enter through the Graduates Only door and report to the check in area in the lobby on ground level at 8:30 a.m. Arena policy encourages everyone to arrive early and travel light, as you may be subject to search upon entry, which includes metal-detecting hand wands. Please see the Pinnacle Bank Arena website for prohibited items. You will not be allowed to carry any personal items into the ceremony with you. At check in, you will receive a card printed with your name and a number. Do not lose this card. Graduating students are to remain for the entire ceremony, which will conclude by approximately 12:00 noon. We encourage families to stay for the entire ceremony as well out of respect for all graduates and their families.
In early April you will receive email notification to complete your electronic Commencement Attendance Form in MyRED. This form lets us know what to do with your diploma. You must submit your electronic Commencement Attendance Form via MyRED by April 24 whether or not you are participating in commencement. If you want your name excluded from commencement publications, you must email Jennifer Verhein no later than April 24 requesting no publication, be sure to include your full name and NUID number in your message.
