CLSS Timeline

Summer 2025: Term 1255

Date	Description
Starting August 26, 2024	Refine Mode / Plan Phase Class schedule for Summer 2025 is available and ready to be edited in CLSS. (The class schedule data is rolled from Summer 2024.)
Starting October 7, 2024	Refine Mode / Proof Phase Changes to the class schedule can continue. Classes that require a General Purpose classroom must be entered. Any specific room requests must be entered in the “Comments” box.
Starting November 11, 2024	Refine Mode / Room Assignment Phase No changes to Summer 2025 can be made in CLSS. CLSS will be locked for the Summer 2025 term. The Registrar’s Office will be assigning General Purpose classrooms to those class sections that requested one.
Starting December 16, 2024	Refine Mode / Review Phase Class Schedule for Summer 2025 is available again for edits in CLSS. Changes that effect classroom assignments will go through a workflow approval.
On February 10, 2025	Refine Mode / Publish Phase Summer 2025 class schedule goes live for the general public and students. Students can now add Summer 2025 classes to their shopping cart. Limited changes can be made in CLSS. Items that cannot be changed should be placed in the “Comments” box and sent through workflow for processing. Changes impacting classroom assignments or enrollment will go through a workflow approval.
Starting March 3, 2025	Summer 2025 Registration begins
On March 7, 2025	Summer 2025 class schedule will be published in EMS.
On April 25, 2025	Last day to change Summer 2025 class instruction modes prior to student tuition and fees and financial aid calculations.
Starting April 26, 2025	All Summer 2025 instruction mode changes require college approval via the Course Delivery Modification Request form. Only the campus and room will be updated, the instruction mode will not.
On May 19, 2025	Summer 2025 term begins Limited changes can be made in CLSS. Items that cannot be changed should be placed in the “Comments” box and sent through workflow for processing. New class sections and changes to instructors can still be made.
Starting August 18, 2025	Refine Mode / Archive Phase No changes can be made in CLSS. Summer 2025 instance in CLSS becomes archived for the Summer 2026 class schedule roll.

Fall 2025: Term 1258

Date	Description
Starting September 16, 2024	Refine Mode / Plan Phase Class schedule for Fall 2025 is available and ready to be edited in CLSS. (The class schedule data is rolled from Fall 2024.)
Starting October 21, 2024	Refine Mode / Proof Phase Changes to the class schedule can continue. Classes that require a General Purpose classroom must be entered. Any specific room requests must be entered in the “Comments” box.
Starting November 18, 2024	Refine Mode / Room Assignment Phase No changes to Fall 2025 can be made in CLSS. CLSS will be locked for the Fall 2025 term. The Registrar’s Office will be assigning General Purpose to those class sections that requested one.
Starting January 14, 2025	Refine Mode / Review Phase Class Schedule for Fall 2025 is available again for edits in CLSS. Changes can still be made in CLSS and will go through a workflow approval.

Starting July 18, 2025	Fall 2025 instruction mode changes require college approval via the Course Delivery Modification Request form.

Starting September 2, 2025	Changes can still be made in CLSS for the Fall 2025 term and will go through workflow. Changes made on or after this date will not be included in the class schedule roll for Fall 2026.
Starting January 2, 2026	Refine Mode / Archive Phase No changes can be made in CLSS for the Fall 2025 term. Any changes needed for the Fall 2025 term must go through the Registrar’s Office. Email unl.class.edits@nebraska.edu.

Spring 2026: Term 1261

Starting March 17, 2025	Refine Mode / Plan Phase Class schedule for Spring 2026 is available and ready to be edited in CLSS. (The class schedule data is rolled from Spring 2025.)

Starting December 13, 2025	All Spring 2026 instruction mode changes require college approval via the Course Delivery Modification Request form. Only the campus and room will be updated, the instruction mode will not.
On January 12, 2026	Regular Academic session begins Limited changes can be made in CLSS. Items that cannot be changed should be placed in the “Comments” box and sent through workflow for processing. New class sections and changes to instructors can still be made.
Starting February 23, 2026	Changes can still be made in CLSS for the Spring 2026 term and will go through workflow. Changes made on or after this date will not be included in the class schedule roll for Spring 2026.
Starting May 18, 2026	Refine Mode / Archive Phase No changes can be made in CLSS for the Spring 2026 term. Any changes needed for the Spring 2026 term must go through the Registrar’s Office. Email class.edits@unl.edu.

Summer 2026: Term 1265

Starting November 24, 2025	Refine Mode / Room Assignment Phase No changes to Fall 2026 can be made in CLSS. CLSS will be locked for the Fall 2026 term. The Registrar’s Office will be assigning General Purpose to those class sections that requested one.
