Nebraska’s Next Generation Degree Management System
Stellic is a comprehensive degree management system that takes a student-centered, holistic approach to help students succeed and graduate on time.
Students, along with their advisors, can track the completion of degree and major requirements in real time, review pathways towards graduation, plan and register for courses, and more. Stellic empowers students to take charge of their academic career.
Features for Advisors:
- Track student progress toward degree completion: See completed, in-progress and remaining requirements for all students you advise, and their degree plans.
- Understand each student’s context at a glance: Access a clear ‘snapshot’ for each student that captures their major(s), minors, what-if major/minors, GPA, expected graduation date and interests—all in one place.
- Quickly identify students to focus on: Easily filter to find subsets of students, based on factors like unmet requirements, planned courses and GPA.
- Save reports: Build and save reports that track subsets of students, based on criteria like GPA or unmet requirements, which update in real time and can help you identify enrollment trends and bottlenecks to graduation.
Features for Students:
- Visualize your path: Students can get an overview of their journey in one place, including all their completed, in-progress, planned courses and remaining requirements for their program.
- Discover and explore alternate paths: Students can explore other potential majors and minors in Stellic. They can see how their current credits will count toward those programs and understand how changing and adding programs will affect their time to completion.
- Plan your degree, the smart way: Students can find and add courses to a multi-semester degree planner that match their interests and meet their requirements.
- Build a schedule for next semester: Students can visualize and create a schedule for the courses they are planning next semester based on their other commitments and personal preferences. From there, they can register for classes directly in Stellic.
Stellic Implementation
Implementation is underway and 2024-25 will be a transitional period for audits, pathways, planning and registration for undergraduate students. Additional information on the timeline for graduate students, training workshops, pilot programs and target student populations will be coming soon.
