Employers Needing to Verify Student Enrollment or Degree:
Employers (potential or current) can verify a student’s enrollment status and/or degree by using the Verification Services of the National Student Clearing House. There is a small charge for this service.
Processing time for student records, who have possible attendance prior to fall 1986, is a minimum of 1-2 weeks.

Consent Requirements for Non-Directory Information
FERPA regulates that only directory information can be released without written consent from the student. If the information you request is not in this list, or the student has requested non-disclosure on their directory information, the student will need to provide written consent. This can be done through the FERPA release form. Directory information is as follows:
- Student name
- Year at the university
- Dates of attendance
- Academic college and major field of study
- Enrollment status (undergraduate or graduate; full-time or part-time)
- Participation in officially recognized activities and sports
- Degrees, honors and awards received
- Most recent educational agency or institution attended
