Important Information about ordering transcripts:
- Transcripts are confidential records and may only be ordered by the student whose record is being requested.
- Because your original signature must be included, a transcript order cannot be accepted over the phone. Computer-generated signatures are not valid.
- Transcripts will not be released until holds on accounts are cleared.
- Transcripts are not able to be sent for individual semesters or courses. Orders for transcripts will contain the entire student record.
- Processing time for student records who have attendance prior to Fall 1986 is a minimum of 1-2 weeks.
Please allow 5-7 working days for processing your transcript order. Allow extra time for processing at peak periods (end of semester and commencement).

Use the tabs below for instructions on how to order transcripts. You have three options below, order an electronic transcript through MyRED, order a printed transcript through MyRED, or order your transcript through our Transcript Request Form.

Electronic Transcript
Sending an electronic transcript through email is the fastest (delivery typically happens same day), most secure, and environmentally friendly method to request your transcript.

Please Note:
- Confirm with the recipients that they will be able to receive an electronic copy of your transcript. To avoid potential problems with spam filters, please instruct recipients to allow emails from Parchment (noreplyint@parchment.com).
- An eTranscript is considered official in PDF format only. If printed, the words COPY OF OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT will appear to indicate that the paper copy is not an official institutional document.
- Pop-up blockers must be disabled. See here to learn how.
- Electronic Law Transcripts are available separately for $3.00. Please follow the same steps but select the Law Transcript option at Step 1.
- Electronic transcript ordering will not be available if there is a financial hold on the account. Please contact Husker Hub (402-472-2030) for hold information.

If an electronic transcript has been sent to you by a student or to yourself (if you are the student) the directions below will help you open the transcript.

Login to MyRED
Login to MyRed using your NUID and Password. (If you do not know your NUID or password use the TrueYou Identity Manager to recover that information)
Go to "Order Official Transcript"
Hover over the Academics tab, choose the Order Official Transcript link.
Click "Order Electronic Transcript"
Chose the blue Order Electronic Transcript link under the Electronic Transcript heading.
Step One
A new window will open taking you to the Parchment Exchange home screen. Log in or Sign up.
Please note: You may need to disable pop-up blockers.
Step Two
Use the search bar to search for preexisting emails or manually enter the email address by selecting the blue link under the search bar. To search: type the name of a School or Institution to show available addresses.
Step Three
The screen below is the order details screen. If you have used the search option, the "Recipient Name" and "Email Address" fields will be populated for you.
Choose your Processing time (when you want the transcripts to be processed) and complete the optional attachment and transcript purpose fields if applicable.
Click "Continue" or "Add Another Item" to request another transcript.
Confirmation Page
Choosing to Continue will bring you to your Shopping Cart Contents which will allow you to review your order. If the order is correct, click Checkout.
Remove will delete your request
Continue shopping will allow you to request an additional transcript
Update Shopping Cart will update any changes that were made, not already shown
Checkout will take you to the Provide Consent page.
Step Four
The Provide Consent page will show the following message. Consent is received by securely logging into MyRed. Click Next to continue.
Step Five
Electronic transcripts are $3.00. Follow the prompts to enter your payment information.
Step Six
The final page is the Review Order page. If all of the information is correct click Confirm.
You Are Done!
Finally, you will receive a confirmation page with an Order Number. This number can be used as a reference number for any questions regarding your Official Electronic Transcripts.

- To request special handling, such as separate sealed envelopes, FedEx, Transcript Certification, etc. please use the PDF Transcript Request Form.
- For transcript requests specifying to “Hold for Grades” or “Hold for Degrees”, either use the eTranscript method OR the Transcript Request Form.
- To request a printed Law transcript, contact Vicki Lill at vicki.lill@unl.edu for more information.

How to Order:
This video will show you how to order an Official Paper Transcript through MyRED. There are written instructions provided below the video.
Login to MyRED
Login to MyRed using your NUID and Password. (If you do not know your NUID or password use the TrueYou Identity Manager to recover that information)
Go to "Order Official Transcript"
Hover over the Academics tab, choose the Order Official Transcript link.
Click "Order Paper Transcript"
Chose the blue Order Paper Transcript link under the Paper Transcript heading.
Choose Quantity and Delivery Method:
You will be directed to a new page where you will ask the Quantity and Delivery Method. This information is required and must be selected to continue.
Mail to Address:
When you select Mail to Address, more fields will appear.
The first fields to appear will be the Send To and Address Type fields.
The "Send To" field will autofill with your name, but it can be deleted to add an alternative name.

When choosing any of the available options, a drop-down menu will appear with either blank or auto-filled address boxes as shown below. Please check that the address is correct or enter the new address:
When the address has been verified or entered correctly, clicking the blue Make Request button will bring you to a confirmation screen.
Paper transcripts take 5-7 business days to process and can be mailed via standard United States Postal Service mail. We are unable to provide tracking for these transcripts.
Transcript Request Form
Please note:
Processing time for student records who have attendance prior to Fall 1986 is a minimum of 1-2 weeks.
- Phone requests are not accepted. All requests require a handwritten signature to be considered valid. Computer-generated signatures are not accepted.
- To request a printed Law transcript, contact Vicki Lill at vicki.lill@unl.edu for more information.
- Transcripts will not be issued if there is a financial hold on the account. Please contact Husker Hub (402-472-2030) for hold information.
How to fill out the form:
If using the Transcript Request Form, the following requirements must be included:
- Full name and former name(s), if applicable, used while attending University of Nebraska-Lincoln
- Student identification number or Social Security Number
- Dates of attendance
- Current address
- Daytime phone number
- Email address
- Complete physical address of where your transcript is to be sent (only paper copies are available through this method)
- If separate sealed envelopes are needed, you must include this on your request.
Note: Requests must include your handwritten signature.

University of Nebraska High School
High school students taking courses with the University of Nebraska High School (UNHS) should click on the following link for transcript request instructions: University of Nebraska High School.
Dana College
Dana College students should click on the following link for the Dana College Transcript Request Form. Because your original signature must be included, a transcript order cannot be accepted over the phone. Computer-generated signatures are not valid.

Grace University
Grace University students should click on the following link for the Grace University Transcript Request Form. Because your original signature must be included, a transcript order cannot be accepted over the phone. Computer-generated signatures are not valid.

ITT Tech
ITT Tech students should click on the following link for the ITT Tech Transcript Request Form. Because your original signature must be included, a transcript order cannot be accepted over the phone. Computer-generated signatures are not valid
Please note: The University of Nebraska-Lincoln only holds records for ITT Tech Institutions that were located in Nebraska for the academic years 1994-2000. Academic years 2001 and later must order transcripts through Parchment at https://www.parchment.com/itt/.

The Creative Center
The Creative Center students should click on the following link for The Creative Center Transcript Request Form. Because your original signature must be included, a transcript order cannot be accepted over the phone. Computer-generated signatures are not valid.

Special Delivery Fees
There is no charge for printed Official Transcripts. However, transcripts can be sent via FedEx Standard overnight delivery. This request must be completed on the Transcript Request Form and will be billed directly by FedEx to your credit card. The request form must state your credit card number, 3 digit code, expiration date, and credit card type.
*Please note FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes including U.S. military P.O. box addresses such as APO and FPO.
Third-Party Transcript Ordering (TPO)
This option is for students to allow a third-party verification service or institution to request transcripts on their behalf. If a student would like to order their own transcript to be sent to a Third-Party, please return to the top of the page for options.
Official electronic transcripts may be requested on behalf of students by Third Parties through our vendor Parchment. A TPO transcript may be requested by the Third-Party after a release form has been filled out with a handwritten signature by the current/former UNL student. Once completed, this form should be provided to the Third-Party to be uploaded and attached to the request in Parchment. Third-Parties can request a release form by emailing registrar@unl.edu. Outside releases should contain student name(s), DOB and/or SSN, a statement authorizing release of academic or educational records, email the transcript is to be released to, and a handwritten signature with date of signing.
TPO transcripts are available for $5.00.
Transcripts will not be issued if a financial hold exists and the order will be cancelled. Students should contact Husker Hub (402-472-2030) for hold information.
*Please note: TPO transcripts are unable to be requested for students who attended prior to Fall 1986.
MyRED Access
In order to access MyRED, you will first need to set up your TrueYou credentials by using your designated NUID (Nebraska Unique Identifier).
Please note: Students who graduated or stopped attending the University prior to Fall 1986 will not be able to access their information through MyRED.
Go to the TrueYou Identity Manager and follow the steps on the screen. You will need your Social Security Number.
Log onto MyRED using your NUID.
MyRED will only display the "Welcome" page. A process will run overnight that will assign the appropriate student access.
Once the process is complete, you can log into MyRED to view your records and order a transcript.

Ordering Academic Information on Deceased Students
The Office of the University Registrar will evaluate each request for the release of a transcript or other academic records of a deceased student on the individual merits of that request. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln reserves the right to deny the request in whole or to release only part of the academic records that are requested. The decision will be based on what is deemed to be in the best interest of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
