Degree Audit

Navigating to a student (refer to reviewing student information document) .

You can use the following website for much of the info:

https://knowledge.stellic.com/en/articles/9048002-quickstart-guide-advisor.

However, a few notes:

  • We don’t have a “remaining” notation for our students (first screen shot on this page) – so that should not be part of the tutorial. I don’t think we share remaining at all for our degree audits, so adjust the language to only say they can see at a glance the Taken and Registered courses)
  • I don’t see a progress bar on the right at the top of their degree audit where you could hover and see # Taken, # Remaining – I believe that was requested to not be part of our system. So, don’t need to explain that.

Include topics:

  • Official vs Planned audit explanation
    • Planned will include any majors or minors the student has tried on (maybe can indicate more information on trying on is on another page), Official will only include programs student is officially enrolled in
  • Difference between Full, Compact, Remaining Audits (can be a simple explanation, i.e., choose the level of detail you want to see, you can change this at any time )
  • Symbols overview – just copy from Stellic!
  • Ordering of the audit
    • Sections of the audit are grouped by related requirements
    • To open sub requirements for any group, click on the >
  • Constraints
    • You can view requirements for the entire audit or just a section of an audit by opening the constraints. These will be things like grade rules, restrictions on P/NP, or additional specifics related to the below requirements.
  • How to open requirements to see what classes students can take to fulfill a requirement
    • How to view these when they’re in constraints
    • How to view these when they’re in a vertical list
  • Opening course information.
    • Click on any course or the search glass (hover over a requirement heading) to find courses that will satisfy requirement
  • Explain milestones (brief explanation of what these are)
    • Signified by flag, a little bit about what they are and show an example
  • Unmatched courses
    • Includes any course not used in the audit above for any reason (non-transferrable course, unacceptable grade, repeated course, etc.)
  • Search
    • To search for something specific (requirement, course, etc.), open a Full Audit and use CTRL + F
