Tags and Attributes

Stellic contains ‘tags’ and ‘attributes’ that identify groups of related data in the system. These unique data elements can be assigned at various levels. Tags and attributes can be used in filtering, identifying degree audit requirements, and reporting. In many ways, tags are like student groups in MyRED, except they are more dynamic and are updated as data changes. Attributes are associated with courses, class sections, and student enrollments. Both create powerful opportunities in Stellic for selecting sets of data.

The sections below list the types of tags and attributes available, provide an explanation of each, and show how to use them.

To find a specific tag or attribute on this page, use CTRL+F on your keyboard to bring up a search box. Then type the tag or keywords from the tag and click Enter on your keyboard to find it.

Student Tags

Student tags are very similar to student groups in MyRED. They are attached to individual groups of students.  These tags can be found at the top of the ‘Students’ page within the Demographics filter.
