Using Permission Codes
To add a permission code to a section in Stellic, you will first need to add the course to your plan. To see how to do this, check our our tutorial at https://registrar.unl.edu/student-resources/registration/class-registration-tutorials/adding-courses/. Additionally, you will need to obtain a permission number from either the instructor of the course, or the department office offering the course.
Permission numbers are not guaranteed for all courses, and are handed out at the discretion of the instructor and/or departments. Permission numbers do not override all registration issues or holds. Permission codes are a one-time-use code, which means they cannot be used again if you have already used it to register. Permission codes also cannot be used after the last day to add a course has passed.
Adding the Permission Code
After adding the course to your plan and selecting the section, open the class details by clicking on the course on the left-hand panel under the Planned section. You will then see the class details open in the right-hand panel.
Scroll down the right-hand panel to find the Permission Number field, with a clickable link that says "Add permission number" underneath it. Click this link.
After clicking the "Add permission number" link, it will allow you to type the permission number. Then click the blue checkmark to save it.
After saving the permission code by clicking the blue checkmark, the permission code you entered will appear in the Permission Number field. You can edit or remove it at any time by opening back up the class details.
You may now continue enrolling in courses as normal https://registrar.unl.edu/student-resources/registration/class-registration-tutorials/enroll-classes/. If you encounter an error, first ensure that your permission code is saved to your course section and you are registering for the correct section of the class. If these are all correct, you will need to contact the person who provided you with the permission code.
